Computer Science,
Motivation: Hi there, Lukas here! I have been an elected students’ council member for about 3 years now and would once again put myself up to the task. In the past years I have been one of the main organizers of the monthly breakfasts, our annual Summer-BBQ and Nikofete and the (somehwat) regular Quiz-Nights! However in the future the time I can dedicate to the Councils’ Events might become more limited as I am moving from my Masters to a PhD program. However, I am still happy to share my knowledge and assist new council members in organizing these events!

Motivation: The unimportant stuff: Hi, I’m Daniel. I’m an Informatics BSc student here at uni. Beside running back and forth from coffee machines to lecture halls, you may have also seen me running around at some events as a volunteer FS member. Besides that, I’m happily contributing spelling errors wherever I can 😀 The important stuff: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣀⣠⠤⣖⣾⣭⡍⠉⠹⣿⣗⣦⢤⣀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⣠⠶⢶⣶⣿⡿⠋⠉⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠙⣿⣿⣾⣕⡦⣄⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠈⣧⣧⣉⠁⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢀⠀⢹⣿⡿⣿⣿⣷⣯⣳⡀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠘⣿⡟⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠐⠿⠃⠀⣿⡆⠀⢹⣿⣿⠛⣷⡀⠀ ⠀⠀⡴⠉⠻⣄⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢰⠆⠀⣿⣇⣸⣿⠟⠁⠀⠉⣧⠀ ⠀⠀⣷⠂⠀⠘⣮⠙⠛⠒⠒⠛⠀⠀⢠⡏⠀⢰⣿⣿⣿⠏⠀⠀⠀⠂⢸⠀ ⠀⠰⡏⠀⠀⢰⣿⣷⣤⣄⢀⣀⣤⡜⠋⢀⣠⣿⣿⣿⡟⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢸⠀ ⠀⢸⣇⡀⠀⠈⠛⢿⣿⣿⣷⣶⠯⢭⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢸⡄ ⠀⢺⣉⡍⢹⡆⠀⠀⠀⠉⠀⠈⠀⠀⠻⠛⠟⠛⠛⠋⣁⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣈⣿ ⠀⡟⠂⠀⢸⣷⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠹⠶⠤⠀⠐⠀⢸⡟ ⢀⣧⡀⠀⠀⢹⣷⣤⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⠓⠀⠀⠀⠀⢸⡇ ⣼⣃⡀⠀⠀⠻⠻⢿⣿⣷⣤⣤⣤⣄⣀⠀⣀⣀⣀⣴⡆⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢸⣇ ⣿⢀⠁⠀⢠⡆⠀⠀⠙⠻⢿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠿⠿⠃⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⡏ ⢻⡜⠳⢶⣼⣿⣦⣤⣀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⡄⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⡇ ⢸⣿⡀⠀⠀⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⢗⡶⢤⣤⣀⣀⣀⣀⣀⣀⡁⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣿ ⠸⣏⢇⠀⠀⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠀⠉⠉⠉⠛⠾⣿⣿⣿⣿⣷⣤⣤⣤⡴⠤⢤⣿ ⠀⠘⢮⣁⣰⣿⣿⣿⡟⣿⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣿⣿⣿⣿⡏⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣿ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⣸⣻⣿⣿⣿⣿⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠸⡿⣿⡟⠁⣰⠇⠀⠀⠀⡀⣿ ⠀⠀⠀⡰⣻⣿⣿⣿⣿⡟⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠹⡽⣿⡿⠋⢀⡄⠴⣚⡵⠛ ⠀⠀⣾⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣾⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣠⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠖⠋⠉⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠹⡽⣿⣿⣿⢏⠟⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣠⢞⣽⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠈⠛⠉⠛⠉⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢸⣱⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡿⡿⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⠫⣿⡿⠿⠿⠽⠋⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Studying can be like that sometimes. As a student council member, I want to help to solve that by, for example, keeping the events and their legacy running while also trying out some other ideas or helping to clear a bit of that confusion that comes and doesn’t stop coming, and doesn’t stop coming.

Motivation: I am eager to become a student council member to play a vital role in shaping the student experience. During my previous term I got an opportunity to interact with many students and help them solve their queries. I want to amplify the student voices and make them believe that their opinion does matter and how this can bring a big change. With commitment to student welfare, diversity and engagement. I am excited to contribute to the student council by working together to solve issues faced by students and to make a long lasting impact on the student body.

Motivation: Over the past year I’ve gotten to know the work of the students council and was given the chance to try and help students across the department. I would like to continue to do this work as an elected member of the students council!

Alter: 25
Studiengang, Semester:
Informatik Master, 2
Motivation: Hey guys, This is now the fourth time I have had the pleasure of writing an inspirational text to persuade, I mean convince you to vote for me. For those of you who don’t know me from StEP, Semester Opening Ceremony, Breakfast, Game Night, Uni E-Sport Saar, or as the guy who tells you that the printer paper is probably not empty, let me introduce myself. I have been an elected member of the student council for 3 years now and I am basically a helping hand for all our events, more specifically I organise our game nights and the StEP. Last year I said that I would do my best to organise a LAN party, as you may have noticed this didnt happen, however I am happy to say that we have still made some progress on this topic and I am confident that next year this will happen as a big stand alone event. Aside from all the social events and outreach I do, you will most likely find me in our council room if you need help with anything related to your student life or problems you are facing. If this convinces you, I would be happy if you would vote for me.

Motivation: After having spent several years at Saarland University during my Bachelor’s degree, I would now like to use my Master’s degree to get involved and join the Info-Fachschaftsrat. As an old geezer (considering my number of semesters at UdS!), I already know what the FSR offers, but also about some of the peculiarities and problems for students at our department: I would like to support events hosted by FSR and was already able to get a small impression as a helping hand last semester; apart from that I would like to have more easily accessible information and would therefore like to expand the FAQ of the student council.

Studiengang, Semester:
Master in CyberSecurity, 1
Motivation: Back in my home country, I was involved in a lot of extracurriculars which helped develop leadership skills, allowed me to take on responsibilities, make key decisions and guide others. My driving force for this was mainly because i wanted to be capable of representing my peers, their issues and their interests. I believe that being a part of the student council will allow me to actively participate in University activities and to connect with like-minded people. In terms of personal development, I believe that being a part of the student council will help improve my interpersonal skills, and instill a sense of responsibiltity. Although these are all serious motivations, I also think that being a part of the council can be a rewarding and enjoyable experience. It will give me the opportunity to be a play a part in the organisation of events, contribute to a positive culture, and create lasting memories with other council peers.

Informatik, 9
Motivation: As some of you may know, I have been active in the Student’s Council since my first term: first as a voluntary member and later on elected. During that time, I have taken responsibility for various tasks such as managing the Student Printer, representing students in committees such as the examination board, helping in the organization of the NEXT campus fair, managing the LaTeX templates & the council’s IT infrastructure and mediating in case of conflicts between students and lecturers. I would like to continue doing so in the upcoming year and hence count on your vote 🙂

Alter: 25
Studiengang, Semester:
Informatik, 10
Motivation: This year I’ve helped fellow students as student representative in the students’ council as well as various examination boards. I’ve helped to make sure that in the examination board of Visual Computing, decisions made by the chair are communicated to other board members. This made it possible for student representative members to contest decisions and initiate a decision-making process involving all board members. I’ve also acted as consultant for students as well as student representatives of other examination boards regarding the interpretation of study program and other university regulations. Currently, I am trying to lobby for more official university documents to be translated into English, and improve the working conditions for tutors in our department. I’d love to continue my work for another year!

Motivation: I have over eight years of student organization leadership experience, serving in several international student-led communities such as Key Club, Circle K International, and Deeds Not Words. I plan to bring my experiences in event planning, volunteer coordination, networking facilitation, and workshop development to our community. I would like to highlight more student research opportunities and create professional networking opportunities. Servant leadership is about empowering students, educating our community, and celebrating each other for who we are. At my previous university, The University of Texas at Dallas, I learned the value of uplifting underrepresented student voices to the forefront in academia. Femme, nonbinary, migrant, queer, and disabled/chronically ill students all have a place in the computer sciences.

Name: Voran, Anton
Alter: 21
Studiengang, Semester:
Informatik/Computer Science, 9
Motivation: Many of you probably already know me from the many events I actively helped with, all of the food-related events, many game nights and the other events. I was in another building at the NEXT, but I was heavily involved in the organisation beforehand. While interacting with you is fun and everything (and I certainly do not want to miss it), I want to make the work of different university structures more visible to students. I am already writing most of the meeting minutes and try to give context to everything, but I think much improvement is necessary.

I enjoyed the work in the last three iterations very much and I would like to continue to work together with the new student council for your interests and take care of your concerns. In the past, together with others, I have taken care of the mails we received from you, helped to organize and supervise the last six StEPs, and taken care of the IT infrastructure of the student council.
