I’ve been an elected member for roughly 1 semester now and I still enjoy helping where I can.
It has been a great way to get a better understanding of how things work at university and a chance to get to know nice and helpful people.
So in total, I would like to simply continue what I’ve been doing so far.

Dear FSR Informatik Team,
I am writing to express my strong interest and enthusiasm for joining the FSR Informatik. Having been a computer science student myself, I know how demanding the major can be and how vital a supportive community is for student success. I am deeply passionate about helping new students acclimate to university life and find their footing in their majors—a commitment I actively demonstrated during my Bachelor’s at Texas Tech University, where I served as an orientation leader and participated in mentor programs for freshmen. Through those roles, I learned firsthand how to guide newcomers through the overwhelming initial transition into higher education and foster a welcoming, collaborative environment. I thrive in team settings, and I am incredibly excited about the prospect of working together with the FSR team to organize events, offer peer support, and ensure our department remains an inclusive, resourceful collective. I would love the opportunity to bring my energy, dedication, and mentoring experience to the FSR Informatik to support the UdS student body.
Best regards,
Samruddhi Bhosale

Hi, my name is Borka, I am a Hungarian student from Transylvania and I would like to be a part of the student council.
I was very active in my community back home, I was a part of my high school’s student council and I was volunteering with Caritas for years. I didn’t apply in my first semester, but now my friend, Leo and I decided to try out together so we can support each other in our work and be more effective than we would be alone.
Our main focus would be event planning, since we both have experience with it. We’d like to bring more fun into university life and have the chance to connect people more.
Thank you for your consideration!

Hey, my name is Matilde, I grew up in Germany close to UdS and have been studying here for almost 2 years now (help).
Especially in my first Semester I was really grateful for all the services the student council offers. Math prep course, STEP, breakfasts, gamenights… you name it. Those events really helped me to get accommodated to student life and meet lots of amazing people.
I really appreciate all the social gatherings, that are offered on a regular basis and would like to contribute to this welcoming, social environment through my engagement in the student council 😊

Hello again,
During my first iteration as a council member, I have gained knowledge on how things are really run and the different tasks there are. This semester I no longer am occupied by other voluntary jobs, so I am fully dedicated to spending more time and effort for council work 🙂 .
Maintaining a healthy & helpful community remains my main priority, I am always having an open door for anyone for any help or consultation they might need.
I notice a lot of misconception from students concerning communication of study concerns & other issues around campus, so I hope I can improve this and maintain a community where the voice of the average student is heard, not just limited to the same small percentage of people who do not necessarily represent the average concern of the student.
To that point , there are other members who have nice plans for that, and I plan to fully support these plans and maintaining their validity.
In addition, I will involve myself more with aspects I have not been (officially) involved with, such as hosting a few special game nights , and taking over printer responsibilities (as I have already had to open the printer quite a few times now, might as well have it more of an official responsibility) and more internal things that will grow the community, as well as initiating more fun events (Summer BBQ is coming up, do not miss it 🙂 )
Thanks for surviving this, hope you have a great Summer (and that SOPRA goes well)

Smiley.
All good things come in threes! Actually, hang on – this is my fourth time standing for election.
Anyway, I enjoy organising our events, such as the breakfast and the summer bbq (and hopefully they get better each time – we’re always open to suggestions for improvement), as well as all the other work involved in running the student council.
But I’m also delighted to see every new face in our FSR, bringing fresh enthusiasm and carrying on our traditions. I still need a helping hand to set up the water slide from the Mensaar to E1 3. Smiley.

Dear computer science students and average social event enthusiasts!
My name is Jonas and I have been an elected member of this student council for two semesters and would love to continue the work I’ve been doing.
You might be asking yourself: What did this guy actually do?
I was – and would love to still be – the main organizer of many of our social events (including Game Night, Quiz Night, PubCrawl, …) as well as part of the social media and design team.
If you’d like to see these events continue to be organized by me (and of course a lot of helpers), it would only make sense to for vote me 🙂

Heyho, I’m Nico
I’ve been a voluntary member for a bit over a year, regularly helping out at the breakfasts and game nights, and trying my best to help with problems, students brought to me.
I had a lot of fun working together with the others and helping out whenever
I could, which is why I wanna join the FSR this term officially. ^^
One of my personal goals would be to reinstate the League of Legends watch party we held except for last year.
(addititional suggestions are welcome ofc 😀
I also hope to learn more about the inner workings of the department,
giving me a chance to support y’all even better in the future.

Hi, I’m Yan, one of the elected student council members for WiSe 2025/2026. I want to continue helping the students and being one of those who makes everyone’s voices heard. Besides, I want to support the social life of our faculty, and make everyone feel welcome and a part of our community. One of the current goals for me is to improve the communication between the students and the university staff, and I hope that I will be able to continue working on this in the next iteration of the council.

Things I did last year:
===========
-> taking care of the printer, when people were printing their thesis on last minute (please do not do that)
-> being present in the council rooms so people could come in or call in (+49 681 302 4389) with issues
-> at events: helping out (a bit too much) and drinking coffee/Glühwein (a bit too much) (like at the breakfast or at the Nikofete)
-> handling internal orga stuff (Deans Lunch, Cleaning Day, Student Survey, …)
-> promoting student council work (with the hope that we can distribute the work on more shoulders in the future)
-> giving advice on how to survive in Germany
-> eating too much sugar
===========
Things I want to do in the following year:
===========
-> make the study rooms more cozy
-> write a new arrival-guide for incoming students
-> eating less sugar

Hi, I’m Max, and I’ve been an elected member of the students’ council for five years now. During that time, I’ve been in charge of our servers and the student printer, handled your emails to us, and managed the cocoa supply at the Nikofete. What’s closest to my heart is our orientation event for new first-year students, the StEP, which I’ve now helped organize for the eleventh time. I was also one of the organizers of two of the last three torch runs, because tradition is a wonderful thing!
This time, I’m running under the motto “one last time.” I want to support the new Student Council with words and deeds.
Thanks for your trust!

My name is 𝖧𝖺𝗆𝗆𝖺𝖽 𝖸𝖺𝗌𝗂𝗇, and I’m running for a seat in the Student Council.
I have been living in Germany for almost a year now. But when I first arrived, I felt completely lost. Those frustrating weeks taught me exactly how isolating it can feel. That’s why, if elected, I will make sure no international student goes through what I experienced.
But I also see the struggles of German students every day overcrowded lectures, housing stress, and constant pressure. I don’t want to represent only one group. I want to bridge both sides so we all feel supported.
𝙈𝙮 𝙢𝙤𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙞𝙨 𝙨𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚: I’ve lived the international struggle, and I care about the reality here in Germany. I will fight for clearer information, faster support, and a student council that actually listens.

Heyy, I’m Leo, I grew up in Germany, relatively close to here and have been at this Uni for almost two years now. I, myself, have taken advantage of a lot of the services the student council provides, so I’d like to give back 🙂
For my experience: I spent years in my high schools student council and helped organize a bunch of community events back then.
Together with my friend Borka, we would put our combined experience to use, organizing fun events to bring the community closer together
Thank you for your consideration <33
