Name: Akarsu, Yağmur
Alter: 23
Studiengang, Semester: Bioinformatics MsC, 1
Motivation: I’m running for the Fachschaft because I’m passionate about fostering communities, supporting others, and giving back to the society.
I have volunteering experience with non-profits and student organizations. I’m experienced in teamwork, managing projects, coordinating events, and have worked as a leader multiple times. I’m currently an event coordinator, report writer, and communications co-chair for a US-based nonprofit, working on newsletters, blog posts, social media, event planning, and PR. I’ve volunteered for a civilian service organization since 2019, serving as president in 2022-2023.
I’m optimistic, extroverted, and dedicated to help others improve. I believe in the power of lifting each other up and working to make life easier for others. If elected, I will provide an inclusive, judgment-free environment for all students, listen to their concerns about their academic journey and voice their needs.
I will try to host more social events and create opportunities to make Informatik students connect. I also want to host events for the Informatik girlies and LGBTQ+ students in our department! Overall, I want to make more space for students to network, socialize, share experiences, and feel supported in an empowering environment.
If elected, as a FSR council member, I will do my best to make sure that everyone in our department feels valued and represented in an environment that celebrates diversity and encourages everyone them to thrive.

Name: Butz, Daniel
Alter: 34
Studiengang, Semester: Informatik, 7
Motivation: Hi,
I’m Daniel.
You may have seen me at events or running around the FS room.
I was elected in the last iteration, was a volunteer member before that, and and would like to continue helping out with council matters as a continuing council member.
What I’ve done last year:
Apart from the regular FSR stuff like meetings, supporting events, and helping out with student questions, I designed several posters and media (hope you liked this year’s xmas cat ^^). I tried to bring the FSR more into the focus of uni day, since it is a great help to students and there are many support options from the FSR which are sadly often times not known.
What I will do next year:
My main goal is still to help out with the confusion and stress of being a student, by providing clear info via media about things that might interest or support you and your daily uni life. And also strongly supporting events (where I already have some social events of my own in mind ^^)

Motivation: Hi.
Over the past year, I was active as a voluntary member of the students’ council where I contributed mostly behind the scenes. This allowed me to participate in various duties and to build some connections with professors and the university’s administrative bodies. As an elected member, I look forward to continuing supporting our activities and events collaborating with both existing and new member of the council.

Name: Hamidzada, Tehran
Alter: 21

Motivation: During my time here, I have encountered moments where guidance and support from peers were crucial. Whether it was understanding academic regulations, preparing for exams, or settling into university life, I realized the importance of having a strong student council to rely on. Now, I want to be part of that support system—to listen, assist, and ensure that every student’s voice is heard.
I believe that being a student representative is not only an opportunity to help others but also a chance to demonstrate my own skills, such as problem-solving, communication, and teamwork. I am committed to creating a positive impact and ensuring that every student feels support.

Alter: 19
Studiengang, Semester: Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, 3
Motivation:
The primary motivation for becoming part of our faculty council lies in the opportunity to actively advocate for the concerns and needs of my fellow students and to represent their interests in the best possible way. I am eager to take on responsibility and dedicate myself with great commitment to achieving the goals we set together as a faculty council. One of my main objectives is to enhance the sense of community among computer science students. However, this can only be achieved through improved communication between the faculty council and students, as many are unaware of what the council actually does or are not actively involved in its activities.
This could be easily addressed by maintaining a regular presence during lectures, making more active use of Instagram, Discord, or other newsletters. These measures would undoubtedly lead to increased awareness and understanding of the council’s role.
One concept that strongly and effectively fosters the sense of community I envision is the math preparatory course. This is supported by the feedback from numerous surveys conducted among participants in recent years, which underline the importance of giving this course greater recognition.
Consequently, it is crucial to increase the faculty council’s support in this area, whether through advertising or broader initiatives.
Additionally, I strongly value the support of study spaces, as these should serve as community spaces for general exchange and learning. However, due to partially missing or insufficient materials, these spaces are currently unable to reach their full potential.

Motivation: I am excited to submit my application for continued membership in the Student Council. Over the past year, I have had the opportunity of being a part in the organizaaton of various events as well as managing the different initiatives introduced by the student council. My journey on the council has been both fulfilling and inspiring, and I am eager to contribute further in this year.
In this past year, you may have spotted me at our events such as the Master StEP, the Summer BBQ, and the monthly breakfasts. These events helped foster a connection among the students and create memorable experiences.
Being a part of the student council has deepened my understanding of the challenges and opportunities within our university environment. It has also reinforced my commitment to representing the voices of my peers and advocating for initiatives that contribute to their academic, social, and personal growth.

Motivation: Howdy, everyone! My name is Lizzie and I am running for your 2025-2026 Informatik Fachschaftsrat representative–I’m a first-semester Bioinformatics M.Sc. student and I hope to further represent bioinformatics students and student workers on campus. Some fun facts about me: I’m from Houston, Texas (the home of Beyonce and Megan Thee Stallion), I was in the top 0.05% Pink Floyd listeners on Spotify, Python is my favorite language, and I am the great-great-great-great-great-great grandniece of George Washington!
For my second term, I aspire to maintain our social media presence and increase our engagement, incorporate events for women and queer/trans people in informatics, create awareness around student mental health, and spearhead even more fun social events (City/Kneipetours wooo)! I enjoy advocating for students and connecting students with on-campus resources–being a student (especially with an international background) can be a challenging, isolating experience and I want to foster an environment within our council that welcomes students and makes them feel heard. Additionally, I hope to represent the field of bioinformatics within the council and voice any concerns or ideas from within the UdS bioinformatics community. Teamwork makes the dream work! I hope you all have a successful finals season and thank you for your vote!

Name: Walter, Max
Alter: 22
Studiengang, Semester: Eingebettete Systeme B.Sc., 9
===ENGLISH VERSION ===
Hi, I’m Max and I’ve been an elected member of the students’ council for 4 years now. During this time I was responsible for our servers and the student printer, I took care of your mails to us and our Nikofete (winter party). The event closest to my heart is our introductory event for new first-year students, the StEP, which I have now helped to organise for the eighth time. Furthermore, I was one of the organisers of two of the last three torch runs. If I get re-elected, I would like to continue these tasks and support the newly elected students’ council members in word and deed.

Motivation: (The below text is 100% LLM-free)
I stumbled upon a random meeting of FSR and surprised by its vibrant atmosphere. The fact that they managed to pull off so many events for students is really respectable. Since then I participated in multiple events as a volunteer and I’ve been enjoying working with these awesome people.
I’m a person that finds my value by helping others, joining the student council allows me to help more schoolmates. As an International student I would also put my effort to keep improving the (already great) cohesion between the University and students from every corner of the world.
