I have always enjoyed helping other people and especially in the last few years, I have made it one of my goals to do so more often.
I want to understand other people’s point of view in order to fully understand existing problems and find an appropriate solution for them.
Apart from this, I have also always had an interest in “behind the scenes” things which is why the Student Council seems like an interesting opportunity to me.

HEY FELLOWS!
I’m Huzaifa!
You might have seen me wandering around campus, chilling in a lounge or just waving hello in the hallway. I’m running for Student’s Council because I want to represent not only my voice but your voice – your every concern, idea and suggestion – because I genuinely love our community and want to make our time here even better – both in and out of the class.
Being part of the Student’s Council means making our faculty a better place to study, work and connect. I want to contribute by actively listening to you and making sure your ideas are heard where they matter.
If you vote for me, here’s what I aim to do:
– Bring your ideas and concers to meetings and committees.
-Support initiatives that improve our study environment and student life.
– Help create a more inclusive, engaging and supportive community for everyone.
Together, we can make a real impact. Your voice deserves to be represented and with your support, I’d be honored to serve on the Students’ Council and make it happen.
Let’s do this together!

Hi, I’m Daniel. You may have seen me at events or running around the FS room. I was elected in last iterations and helped out before as volunteering member.
Now for my motivation, I looked at what I wrote last year, and gotta be honest, not much changed. Still trying to bring the FSR more into the focus of uni day, as it is still a great help to students and there are many support options from the FSR which are still sadly often times not known.
For some transparency, some Info about what I did in my last iteration:
Besides taking active part nearly all meetings, this time I also tried to be there more often in our council room, leaving the door open for any questions and help, and also tried to invite more students into our rooms/council. Also the most of the design stuff came from my horribly ungoverned hands like posters, flyers and info things. During the second semester we suffered form declining active members and I also ended up taking care of our meeting orga and protocols and they did lose in quality because of that (I’m still a too confused being myself for things like that ^^’).
I hope we find many new members in this election and I want to help them around the council and the things it does.

Motivation:
Hi. The past semester was my first term as an elected member of the student’s council and somehow I ended up being part of the main orga of many of our social events: Breakfasts, Game Nights and the Summer BBQ. Also when executive departments at the university decided to do what executive departments of the university do (long story), I help extinguishing fires (pun intended*) and make the situation the least painful for all students as possible. Based on this, I don’t want just to continue the FSR traditions, but even improve everything as good as we can.
I hope we see many new faces in the council which will carry further the wonderful projects generations of people have built up so far: free printer service, informative web infrastructure, a StEP that runs almost flawlessly,… .
Anyway: The most important aspect is, that I still need to realise the waterslide from Mensaar down to E1 3.
______________
*no, the Summer BBQ did not burn down. It was great.

Motivation:
Hello everyone, It’s Bashar. After years of engaging with our department, I feel it’s time to step up and run for student council.
I’ve interacted extensively with a diversity of people here — from first-year students to PhD candidates, professors, locals, internationals, and all genders and personalities—gaining deep insight into our community’s needs.
I will enhance council openness, ensuring all students feel safe and welcome. This includes effectively addressing discrimination, mistreatment, and neglect, prioritizing having students’ voices & complaints heard, and fostering an atmosphere that encourages more participation of different people.
I will also ensure academic complaints—especially widespread issues like this year’s SE lab—are heard without filters or deflection, and do my best to forward and attempt to get them resolved, rather than minimally addressed over years and just going along minor changes. I also will tackle such issues with other courses asap when they come up, ensuring it does not get worse for everyone.
As a tutor, I’ve supported students with study-related challenges and found it rewarding; I aim to expand this role in council.
Drawing from successful event roles, contributions and event hosting/planning at Guckelsberg Student dorm (cultural, rooftop, bar), I’ll bring the same energy and help organize engaging innovative events and try collaborating with different associations as well.
Thanks for surving this, That’s it, see ya ^^

Dear Computer Science Students,
Last time I wrote this, I didn’t know that I could actually be a helpful force for the student council — but apparently, that has changed.
As some of you (hopefully) have attended the social events organized by our student council, you may or may not have seen me roaming around there.
In other words: I’d be happy to continue organizing these events and especially help to keep them running regularly — mostly because of the feedback I’ve received from you all while attending them, and from the council for having someone doing this “voluntarily” (they said I have to write this).
If you think this is reason enough to keep me in the council, I’d, of course, appreciate it.
With that said — happy studying, and see you at Game Night!

Greetings Student Council Committee,
My name is Uzaif, I came to Germany last year and I have finally accepted this University and city as my home away from home(which took quite a lot of time). And since its my home now, I want to do everything I can to make this home better, and also help others to feel the same way. I want to help out my peers in addressing whatever problems they might have. I want to be able to provide a smooth communication channel between students and authorities. Also, I want to help out in organising events and encouraging others to do the same. I sincerely believe that I can help out make student council more open to everyone and provide a cultural and international diversity to student council. I simply want to be a part of this amazing community.

Motivation:
My main motivation is to help fellow students voice their opinions and to relay those opinions to related parts of the university organisation, be it the lecturers, student council members or other groups. Oftentimes, the wishes of students are not properly gathered and systematised, which leads to them feeling powerless and not really seeing that they are a part of the university that can help the university improve and change, and not just passive observers who can only receive materials and study. On the other hand, sometimes they voice their opinions loudly, but in a way that does not seem reasonable to the lecturers, and I want to help find the middle ground in such situations. Considering the fact that I’m a 1st semester student, I am able to communicate well with other students who are only now beginning to get to know the university, and I’m eager to help everyone get more involved with the university life. I would also like to take part in the organisation of social events, as social environments are something I was always able to help maintain and improve. I already have experience with something similar, as I was managing group-administration relations in my previous university.

Motivation:
I already completed my bachelor’s degree here, so I know how complicated and bureaucratic the processes can be at this place. During my time abroad, I also gained a glimpse of what it’s like to live in a foreign country. Now I want to help, especially international students, find their way around here, e.g. by suggesting and organising some formats and offering to be a point of contact.
Additionally, the CS student council offers a lot of cool services (like the printer, events, emergency-arch-bootsticks), and I want to do my part to support them.

Hi, I’m Max and I’ve been an elected member of the students’ council for 5 years now. During this time I was responsible for our servers and the student printer, I took care of your mails to us and our Nikofete (winter party). The event closest to my heart is our introductory event for new first-year students, the StEP, which I have now helped to organise for the tenth time (anniversary!!). Furthermore, I was one of the organisers of two of the last three torch runs. If I get re-elected, I would like to continue these tasks and support the newly elected students’ council members in word and deed.

I’m running for re-election to our CS Student Council.
This past year, I’ve been working on the sysadmin taskforce, and it’s been genuinely rewarding. My goal has been simple: to make our student tech resources actually work.
That means I’ve spent a lot of time as our “unofficial printer-filler-in-chief,” making sure it’s stocked with paper and toner, and helping many of you troubleshoot when the printer just won’t cooperate.
I love being able to solve those practical, everyday problems that we all face. I’d be honored to continue helping you out for another term!
